Located in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec—one of the most promising wind corridors in the world thanks to its strong and consistent winds—is our Ingenio Wind Farm. The project began operations in January 2016, features 33 wind turbines, and generates enough renewable electricity to mitigate up to 63,000 tons of CO₂ per year. This clean energy production contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and supports Mexico’s national and international climate commitments.

Social Impact and Sustainability

Parque Eólico
Ingenio Wind Farm is a catalyst for local transformation. Throughout its development and operation, the project has generated employment opportunities in the region, invested in community infrastructure—such as parks and gyms—and supported local music bands that are part of Oaxaca’s most representative traditions. Likewise, open and ongoing dialogue with local communities is one of the company’s key pillars for strengthening community engagement and ensuring the creation of long-term shared value. Zuma Energía is proud to be part of Oaxaca’s renewable future, driving an inclusive energy transition while promoting innovation, environmental responsibility, and respect for cultural identity.
