Santa María Solar Park, which began operations in December 2018, generates clean energy that helps avoid the emission of more than 157,000 tons of CO₂ annually. Its strategic location in one of the regions with the highest solar radiation in the country, together with the installation of 552,600 solar panels, ensures high and efficient energy production throughout the year, reinforcing Mexico’s progress toward a sustainable, low-carbon energy model.
Santa María Solar Park actively contributes to the development of local communities. Since its construction and throughout its operation, the project has promoted job creation and strengthened regional suppliers. In the municipality of Galeana, Zuma Energía supports technical training through scholarships for specialization in renewable energy, while also contributing to the improvement of educational infrastructure and the installation of solar panels at community wells for water extraction, thereby enhancing the well-being and sustainable development of the region.
