The Potrero Solar Park began operations in September 2020 and is one of the most significant solar projects in the country. It is equipped with 795,600 bifacial photovoltaic panels, which can capture sunlight from both sides to increase efficiency and maximize energy generation. Thanks to this technology, the park prevents more than 290,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year compared to fossil fuel sources, helping advance the energy transition in the state of Jalisco

Social Impact and Sustainability

Parque Solar
Beyond energy generation, the Potrero Solar Park is deeply committed to the well-being of local communities and the conservation of native flora and fauna. The project has created more than 1,500 direct and indirect jobs during construction and throughout its operation. Its environmental initiatives include a conservation program for the burrowing frog (Smilisca dentata), the monitoring of various species, and a reforestation campaign with more than 5,000 trees. In addition, Zuma Energía operates the Churintzio Clinic, providing primary care services and free medication to neighboring communities.
